Mr. Donald R. Ginn, Age 81 of Vanceburg, Kentucky passed away Monday November 30th, 2020 at Southern Ohio Medical Hospice Center in Portsmouth, Ohio.

Donald was born in Lewis County, Kentucky July 18, 1939 to the late Woodrow Leland and Bertha Mae Harris Ginn.  In his earlier years he worked in construction as a mechanic.  Donald also worked for the Electric Plant Board of Vanceburg for over 13 years.  Donald’s passion was restoring old cars and loved going to car shows and cruise ins with his buddies.  His favorite pastime was spending time with his grandchildren.

Left to cherish Donald’s memories is his wife of 18 years whom he married July 6th, 2002 Rita Fite Ginn of Vanceburg, Ky.

Sons- Rick (Dawn) Ginn of Vanceburg, Ky., and Kevin (Jesse) Dunaway of Portsmouth, Ohio.

Grandchildren Brandon and Amanda Ginn, Bethany and Taylor Pollitt, and Jacob Spencer.

Sisters- Beverly Sue Lewis and Dottie Edwards both of Vanceburg, Ky.

Brother- Robert Ginn of Tollesboro, Ky.

Preceded in death beside his parents were sisters- Betty Hanover, Judy Miracle, and Jeretha Kinney.  Brothers- Charles and Newell Ginn.

Due to CDC regulations on Covid-19 a private visitation and funeral service will be held Friday December 4, 2020 at the Gaydos Funeral Home 159 2nd street Vanceburg, Kentucky 41179.

Sister Jeanne Harris will officiate with burial to follow at Lewis County Memory Gardens in Black Oak, Ky.

Pallbearers for Donald R. Ginn will be Brandon Ginn, Taylor Pollitt, Rick Ginn, and Tim Dobo Patton.  Condolences may be sent to the family at www.gaydosfh.com

We are so very sorry to hear of your loss, all of you. At different times Bob had the pleasure of Donnie’s company and always made the time fly with talk to each other about so many different goin on’s. We both hope that your precious little self will be able to come home out of that ole hospital soon and be at home doing what you always do......worry about others and take care of them. Bless your heart, Rita and Rest Donny’s in Peace.
