Bonnie Sue Lykins, Age 67, of Vanceburg, Kentucky passed away Monday February 8th, 2021 at her daughter’s home after an extended illness.

Bonnie was born in Trinity, Kentucky November 24, 1953 to the late Grant and Laura Ann Cooley Adams.  Bonnie was a homemaker.  She enjoyed spending time with her family and adored her grandchildren.  Bonnie loved going to yard sales and playing Bingo.  She was of the Christian faith.


Surviving Bonnie are two daughters- Melissa Lykins and Rosetta (Jeff) Thoroughman both of Vanceburg.

One son- Jesse Lykins of Tollesboro, Kentucky.

Two sisters- Linda Toller and (Steve McCann),  and Geneva Adams both of Vanceburg.

Five grandchildren- Robert (Glenda) Lykins, Jeffrey Thoroughman, Tyler Lykins, Nathan Lykins, Marylen Stackhouse, and Meckenzie Lykins.  Six great-grandchildren- Kaiden Thoroughman, Jovie Thoroughman, Aiden Thoroughman, Aubrey Lykins, Carter Lykins, and Ryker Lykins who will also mourn her passing.

Preceded Bonnie in death beside her parents was her husband- Jesse Lykins in 2002, Two twin daughters in infancy, a son Anthony Ray Lykins, and three brothers- Dickie, Kenny, and Johnny Adams.

At Bonnies’ request there will be no services at this time.  A memorial service will be held at a later date at the convenience of the family.

Dear Dear Sweet Little Missy and Rosie and all the rest of your families...we are heartbroken over your Mommy’s passing. You know we love youns to death and feel so sad for youns. Lil Sweethearts, we hope your lil hearts heal soon and you can then start remembering all your PRECIOUS moments with Sue. You girls was ALWAYS by your Mommy’s side n always talked about yer Mommy and LOOOOVED her so much. Youns are blessed for that. She was very lucky to have youns and to know that youns loved her so much. We love you girls, and all of youns and REALLY let us know if youns need somethin, anything. All of our love n healings hugs that we can send to youns, God bless her little soul. 🥺😢 Bob n Geri
