Ada Griffitt Obituary

Ada Griffitt, Age 77, of Tollesboro, Kentucky, passed away Wednesday, February 4, 2026 at Meadowview Regional Medical Center in Maysville, Kentucky.

Ada was born May 5, 1948, to the late William David and Daisy Bloomfield Butler.

Ada worked at Maysville Nursing and Rehab. She enjoyed doing puzzle books, quilting, sewing, raising a garden, and baby sitting her nieces and nephews. She was a Life long member of the Pine Valley Christian Church.

She is preceded in death beside her parents by her husband Maurice H. Griffitt. Five Brothers Glenwood Butler, Elwood Butler, Chester Butler, Mosie Butler, and James Butler. Three Sisters Pauline Liles, Louise Wilburn, and Mae Kathern Butler.

Left to cherish Ada’s memory is three sisters Celia Armstrong, Janet Reed, and Nancy Rickett. One brother Walter (Julie) Butler. Several Nieces and Nephews who will also mourn her passing.

Services will be Tuesday February 10, 2026 at the Gaydos Funeral Home 159 second street Vanceburg, Kentucky 41179 at 12:00 p.m. with Brother Phil Cropper officiating, burial will follow at the Griffitt cemetery in Burtonville, Kentucky.

Friends may call from 10:00 a.m. until the time of services on Tuesday February 10, 2026 at the Gaydos Funeral Home.

Serving as pallbearers for Ada Griffitt will be Donald Armstrong, Jerry Wilburn, Walter Butler, Aaron Gilbert, Bobby Armstrong, and Michael Griffitt.
