Mr. Adrian Stone, age 65, of Augusta, Kentucky formerly of Vanceburg passed away at his home, with his family by his side, Wednesday August 25, 2021, after an extended illness.
Adrian was born in Elmore, Ohio April 10, 1956, to the late Albert and Juanita Conley Stone.
Adrian was a self-employed contractor and electrician, whose skilled hands built numerous homes and businesses all over Kentucky and surrounding areas. Adrian loved to travel the US and cruise the Caribbean, going on Missionary trips to Native American Reservations and Honduras, enjoyed woodworking, never met a potluck dessert he did not try, and most importantly, spending time with his grandchildren. Adrian received his 32nd degree Master Mason, KCCH, from the Covington Scottish Rite Consistory, member of the Augusta #80 Free & Accepted Masons. Serving as a Mason, he was Past District Deputy Grand Master of District #32, Past District Governor of District #12 Order of Eastern Star, Past Worthy Patron Order of Eastern Star Alum City Chapter #222. Present Worthy Patron of Augusta Chapter #362 OES. He also was Grand representative from KY to Idaho OES. Was of the Christian faith and member of the Augusta Presbyterian Church.
Preceded in death, beside his parents, were his first wife, Carol Jean Ginn Stone, April 16, 2010, sister, Linda Cooper, brother, Clarence Stone, and son-in-law, Roy Schmoll.
Surviving is his second wife- Adrina Black Stone of Augusta, KY. Daughter Jennifer Ann Stone Schmoll of Crescent Springs, KY, Son- Aaron (Allison) Stone of Plainfield, Indiana.
Sisters: Ella Everetts of Brooksville, Florida,Leona Moore of Maysville, KY, and Nora Barnett of Winchester, KY.
Brothers: Leonard Stone of Independence, KY, Gene Stone of Maysville, KY, and Edwin Stone of Kissimmee, Florida.
Seven grandchildren: Luke Schmoll, Brooke Schmoll, Ian Schmoll, Caleb Adrian Schmoll, Hayden Stone, Hadley Stone, and Hollyn Stone. Along with several nieces and nephews who also will mourn his passing.
Visitation will be Sunday August 29th, 2021 from 11:00 am until time of services at the funeral home. Masonic rites will be held Sunday at 12:00 pm by the Stone City Lodge of Free & Accepted Masons Lodge #963 Garrison, Ky.
Funeral services will be Sunday, August 29th, 2021, at 2:00 pm at the Gaydos Funeral Home with Reverend Richard Ginn officiating. Burial will follow in the Mawk Cemetery, Tar Fork, KY. Please bring a dish or dessert to share after the burial ceremony in the Stone Family Shelterhouse.
Aaron Stone, Hayden Stone, Luke Schmoll, Leonard Stone, Gene Stone, and Edwin Stone will serve as pallbearers for Mr. Adrian Stone.
