Alfred Cooper, Age 97, of Vanceburg, Kentucky passed away Monday November 10, 2025 with his family by his side at the Kenton Station Hospice of Hope in Maysville, Kentucky.

Alfred was born in Lewis County, Kentucky April 15, 1928 to the late Plez and Eva Young Cooper.  Alfred worked as a carpenter all of his life.  He was a veteran of the U.S. Army during the Korean conflict in which he served so proudly.  Alfred was a member of the Liberty Grove Christian Church.

Preceded in death beside his parents was his wife Nellie Pauline Lawhun Cooper in 2006. Two sisters- Thelma King and Doris Linville.  Four brothers- Wilford Cooper, Cecil Cooper, Douglas Cooper, and Gene Cooper.  Neice- Genee Applegate and a nephew- Larry Cooper.

Left to cherish Alfred’s memories is a son- Randy Dale Cooper of Vanceburg, Kentucky.  Along with several nieces and nephews and friends who also will mourn his passing.

Private family graveside services will be held at Lewis County Memory Gardens in Black Oak, Kentucky at the convenience of the family.

Pallbearers for Alfred Cooper will be Nelson Burriss, Tony Burriss, Frank Clark, Forest Cooper, and Jerry Blevins.
