Allen F. Blevins, Age 59, of Garrison, Kentucky passed away with his family by his side Saturday August 12, 2023 after an extended illness.
Allen was born in Garrison, Kentucky December 12, 1963 to the late Thurman Blevins Sr. and Geneva Vance Blevins. Allen was a carpenter by trade and a deer hunter by passion. He was of the Christian faith.
Left to cherish Allen’s memories is his wife of 41 years Edna J. Bivens of Garrison, Kentucky.
Two daughters-Jennifer (Jonathan) Kirker of Tollesboro, Kentucky: Candice (George) Cooper of Garrison, Kentucky.
One son- Christopher Schroeder and his companion Karrie Little of Raceland, Kentucky.
Two sisters- Julie Blevins and her companion Roger Thoroughman, and Ella Dummitt.
One brother-Mike (Stephanie) Blevins.
8-grandchildren- Dakota Schroeder, Mason McGlone, Cole McGlone, Brandon Cooper, Matthew Cooper, Ally Schroeder, Kailyn Schroeder, and Christopher Michael Schroeder. Three great grandchildren- Myla Schroeder, Noah Applegate, and Xavier Schroeder also survive who will mourn his passing.
Preceded in death beside his parents were two brothers- Mark Blevins and Thurman (Pokey) Blevins Jr.
Graveside services will be Wednesday August 16, 2023 at 1:00 pm at Skidmore cemetery Garrison, Kentucky with Pastor John M. Byard officiating.
Family and friends will meet at 12:00 pm at the Gaydos Funeral Home 159 2nd street Vanceburg, Kentucky 41179 for funeral procession to Skidmore cemetery.
