Mr. Allen Martin Dillow, Age 79, of Vanceburg, Ky., passed away Thursday, January 2, 2020 at the VA Hospital Medical Center in Lexington, Kentucky after a brief illness.

Allen was born in Vanceburg, Kentucky July 14, 1940, to the late Kenneth Martin Dillow and Lobena Riley Frost.

Allen was retired from the United States Air Force as a career military Master Sergeant in which he so proudly served his country for over 26 years. During that time, he served in the Vietnam War completing four tours of duty. His heroic service earned him the Bronze Star Medal along with other meritorious achievement awards and medals. He enjoyed a second career working in the restoration of antique cars. He loved helping his buddies with any car project and enjoyed working with his flowers that so beautifully adorned his yard. He was a member of the Vanceburg Christian Church.

Left to cherish his memories is his wife of 23 years, Nancy Kennedy Dillow.

Step-daughter- Beverly (Steve) Clary of Mayslick, Ky.

Step-son- Austin (Nicki) Cooper of Prospect, Ky.

Grandchildren- Colton and Grayson Cooper, nephews Bill McMeekan and Jay (Toni) McMeekan. Great nieces Elyse McMeekan, Avery McMeekan, and Sophie McMeekan.

Preceded in death beside his parents was a daughter Lori Dillow.

Visitation will be on Thursday January 9, 2020 from 9:00a.m. until the time of services at the Vanceburg Christian church.

Services will be Thursday January 9, 2020 at 11:00 a.m. at the Vanceburg Christian Church with John O’Cull and Daniel McClurg officiating. Entombment and Military services will be at the Kentucky Veterans Cemetery North East Greenup County, Kentucky.
