Arvid 'Buggs' Thurman

Arvid (Buggs) Leroy Thurman Jr., Age 62, of Wurtland, Kentucky passed away Saturday April 10, 2021, after an extended illness. Buggs as he was known by family and friends was born in Lewis County, Kentucky November 11, 1958 to the late Arvid Leroy and Ruth Arthurs Thurman.  Buggs worked for The Lewis County road Department as a mechanic.  He also did carpentry work along with other various jobs in the area.  Buggs loved being outdoors where he would go fishing and hunting.  He was of the Christian faith.

Left to cherish his memories are two brothers- John Thurman and Jeff Thurman both of Vanceburg, Kentucky.

Many nieces and nephews along with two aunts who also will mourn his passing.

Preceded in death beside his parents was a brother James Lee ‘Beast’ Thurman in 2015, a nephew Jacob Ethan Tackett in 2008.

A private Memorial service will be held at a later date at the convenience of the family.
