LCpl. Brandon Kyle Smith, Age 21, of Jacksonville, North Carolina formerly of Vanceburg, Kentucky passed away Sunday April 13, 2025 at Duke University Hospital in Durham, North Carolina.

Brandon, was born in Ramstein, Germany November 20, 2003 to Kenneth Smith of Ft. Lauderdale, Florida and Debra Little of Vanceburg, Kentucky.

Brandon, enlisted into the Marine Corps in August of 2021 and was assigned to the Combat Logistics regiment CLR 2 in Maintenance Management and Range coach.

  He enjoyed playing his saxophone and spending time with his family and friends.  Brandon was a Lewis County High School graduate Class of 2021.

Left to cherish Brandon’s memories is his wife Coria Potter of Jacksonville, North Carolina.

One son- Kohen Ray Smith at home.

Sister- Allyssa Smith-Esham and her husband (Carlos) of Colusa, California.

Brother- Zachary Smith of North Carolina.

Visitation will be Friday April 25, 2025 from 11:00 am until 2:00 pm at the Gaydos funeral home 159 2nd street Vanceburg, Kentucky 41179.

Funeral services will be Friday April 25, 2025 at 2:00 p.m. at the funeral home with Brother Lyle Parker officiating.  Burial will follow in the Potter cemetery in Garrison, Kentucky.

Military graveside rites will be accorded by the American Legion Post 23 Portsmouth, Ohio.

Pallbearers for Brandon Kyle Smith will be Garrett Natvig, Tyler Parks, Joshua Parker, and Tommy Potter.
