Brenda R. Setters, Age 73, of Vanceburg, Kentucky passed away Sunday April 25^th, 2021 at the Kenton Pointe Hospice of Hope Care Center in Maysville, Kentucky.

Brenda was born in Tollesboro, Kentucky January 26^th, 1948 to the late Forrest and Ica Corns Ruggles.  Brenda worked for the U.S. Shoe Corporation in Vanceburg as a supervisor for 33 years.  She loved the outdoors where she would work in her garden raising her flowers.  She loved spending time with her grandchildren whom she adored.  She also, like to work puzzles and sew.  She was a member of the Quincy Church of Christ.

Left to cherish Brenda’s memories is a daughter- Dr. Belinda Setters and spouse Michelle Jones of Louisville, Kentucky.

One son- Michael (Mikey) and his wife Dr. Sarah Porter Setters of Vanceburg, Kentucky.

Sister- Phyllis Liles-Vanceburg, Kentucky

Brothers- Donald Ruggles of Vanceburg, Ky.; Gary (Janet) Ruggles of Quincy, Ky.

Five grandchildren- Laurelle, Silas, Anthony, Matthew, and Nevaeh who also will mourn her passing.

Brother and sister in-law Walter and Virginia Setters.

Special friend- Delores Potter- South Shore, Ky.

Preceded in death beside her parents was her husband Peter Michael Setters in 2018, sisters- Carolyn Elkins, and Janice Eubanks.  Brothers- Douglas and Russell Ruggles.  Half-brother- Dempsey Ruggles.

A private funeral service will be held Thursday April 29^th, 2021 at 11:00 am at the Gaydos Funeral Home with Brother Danny Bentley officiating.  Burial will follow in Lewis County Memory Gardens Black Oak, Ky.

Pallbearers for Brenda R. Setters will be Gary Blaine, Isaac Blaine, Conor Blaine, Donald Armstrong, Cody Armstrong, and John Wilhelm.
