Carl Arthurs Obituary
Mr. Carl Arthurs, Age 92, of Vanceburg, Kentucky passed away Saturday August 17, 2019 at the Vanceburg Rehabilitation and Health Care Center.
Born November 24, 1926 in Mason County, Kentucky to the late John William and Mary Belle Stidam Arthurs.
Carl was a lifelong farmer. He loved trapping with a passion, he also was the care taker of the Valley Cemetery in Charters, Kentucky for several years.
Preceded Carl in death beside his parents were two sisters- Beulah Hopper and Laura Applegate; two brothers- Bruce and Leon Arthurs.
Surviving Carl are two brothers- Frank (Ruby) Arthurs of Vanceburg, Ky.; and Roy Arthurs (Joyce Hughes) of Maysville, Ky.
Carl also leaves behind several nieces and nephews, and a long- time friend Phillip Reis whom he farmed with for several years. Also, Dalton Reis and Alexa Reis who thought the world of him.
Funeral services will be Wednesday August 21st, 2019 @ 11:00 am at the Gaydos Funeral Home 159 2nd street Vanceburg, Kentucky 41179 with Brother Roger Conley officiating. Burial will follow in the Wedonia Cemetery Mason County, Kentucky.
Friends may call Tuesday August 20th,2019 from 5-8 pm and from 8:00 am until time of services Wednesday at the Gaydos Funeral Home.
Pallbearers for Carl Arthurs will be Frankie Arthurs, Rex Arthurs, Floyd Toller, Jeff Cunningham, Phillip Reis, and Dalton Reis.
