Charles R. Mineer, Age 83, of Vanceburg, Kentucky passed away Wednesday November 8, 2023 at Southern Ohio Medical Center in Portsmouth, Ohio.
Charles was born in Lewis County, Kentucky January 22, 1940 to the late Arthur and Gertrude Marshall Mineer. Charles was an avid deer hunter always looking for the trophy buck. He loved watching UK basketball. Charles was a loan officer for Citizens Deposit Bank & Trust for several years. Then went on to work at Pinnacle Bank in Vanceburg till present day. He loved watching his granddaughter Mykenzie playing softball. Most of all he loved his daughter and grandchildren. Charles was a member of the Fly Branch Christian Church.
Left to cherish memories of Charles is a daughter- Ginger (Jim) Crosier of Canton, Ohio.
Two grandchildren- Mykenzie Crosier and Chase Crosier.
Sisters- June (Mark) Dillon; Joyce (Harry) Meadows, Betty (Mike) O’Connor all of Foxport, Kentucky. Aileen (Eric) Carpenter of Wallingford, Kentucky.
Preceded Charles in death beside his parents was his wife Ida Guilfoyle Mineer February 21, 2011.
Sisters- Alice Truitt, Lula Harris, Ruby Worthington, and Sue Mineer.
Brothers- Harry, Norman, and Ralph Mineer.
Funeral services will be held Saturday November 11, 2023 at 1:00 pm at the Gaydos Funeral Home 159 2nd street Vanceburg, Kentucky 41179 with Pastor Harry Meadows, Brother Ralph Mineer, and Brother Rodney Mineer officiating. Interment will follow in Hillcrest Garden of Memories Maysville, Kentucky.
Visitation will be Saturday November 11, 2023 from 10:00 am until the service hour at the funeral home.
Pallbearers for Charles will be Tyler Dillon, Ashley Dillon, Jeff O’Connor, Chris Worthington, Allen Childers, and Chase Crosier. Honorary pallbearers will be Phillip Harris, A.T. Worthington, and Zachariah Sparks.
