Colleen Boyd Brewer, Age 84, of Vanceburg, Kentucky passed away Tuesday November 2, 2021 at the Kenton Pointe Hospice of Hope Center in Maysville, Kentucky.
Colleen, was born in Vanceburg January 28, 1937 to the late Leslie and Irene Burriss Boyd. She is the widow of Howard Edwin Brewer Jr. of 56 years whom she married March 17, 1964 in Russell, Kentucky.
Colleen worked for 10 years as a Dental assistant for Dr. Clem Hill. Colleen was the first female city clerk for the City of Vanceburg for seven years. Was a member of the Vanceburg United Methodist Church and was a retired Emeritus organist, pianist, and choir director for several years.
Left behind to cherish her memories is a daughter- Billi (Bob) Hughes of Arlington, Texas.
Four- grandchildren- Traci (Johnny) Evans, Ian (Annette) Hughes, Brent (Kristen) Hughes, and Adam Hughes. 7-great-grandchildren and one great-great- granddaughter- Blakely Morgan also survive who will mourn her passing.
Preceded in death beside her parents was her husband Howard Edwin Brewer Jr. March 13, 2021, and a daughter- Molly Logan, half- brother- Buddy Boyd.
Funeral service will be Friday November 5, 2021 at 1:00 pm at the Gaydos Funeral Home with Pastor Bob Sweeney officiating. Burial will follow in Lewis County Memory Gardens Black Oak, Kentucky.
Visitation will be Friday November 5, 2021 from 11:00 am until time of services at the funeral home.
Pallbearers for Colleen Brewer will be Anthony Silvey, Bub Silvey, Steve Applegate, Isaac Wedington, Austin Rucker, and Jordan Davis.
