Cova Christine Madden Erwin, Age 84, of Garrison, Kentucky went to be with her Lord and Saviour Monday July 7, 2025 with her family by her side after an extended illness.

Christine was born in Lewis County, Kentucky February 9, 1941 to the late Joe and Vina Wright Madden.  Christine Loved the Lord and was a member of the Little Country Church.  She also was a homemaker.

Preceded in death beside her parents was her husband Dorse Erwin in 2004, four sisters- Martha Jane Layher, Belva Felty, Patty Rhoden, and Margie Virginia Madden in infancy.  Three brothers- Luther, Andrew, and Elwood Madden.

Left to cherish Chritine’s memories is a daughter- Janie (Rob) Skeans- Quincy, Kentucky.

One son- Jamie Erwin of Garrison, Kentucky.

Three sisters- Berta Maden of Garrison, Kentucky, Margaret Rhoden, and Marcella (Marshall) Rhoden both of Greenup, Kentucky.

Brother-in-law- David Rhoden of Garrison, Kentucky.  Many nieces and nephews she always loved and enjoyed watching them grow up.  Christine also had two little boys who brought a lot of love and laughter to her life and she thought of as her own Everett and Emmett Thurman along with their parents Dalton and Shelby of Quincy, Kentucky.

Funeral services will be held Friday July 11, 2025 at 12:00 pm at the Gaydos Funeral Home 159 2nd street Vanceburg, Kentucky 41179 with Brother Joe Madden officiating.  Burial will follow in the Skidmore cemetery Garrison, Kentucky.

Visitation for Cova Christine Maden Erwin will be Friday July 11, 2025 from 10:00 am until time of services at the funeral home.

Pallbearers for Christine Erwin will be family and friends.
