Mrs. Darlene Faye Cooper, Age 61, of Tollesboro, Kentucky went to be with her Lord and Saviour with her family by her side Thursday October 24, 2019 at The Christ Hospital in Cincinnati, Ohio.

Darlene was born in Lewis County, Ky. September 18, 1958 to the late Mitchell and Goldie Harris Montieth Carrington.  Darlene was a cook for the Lewis County Central school system.  She also was a home maker, she loved to garden and go to yard sales.  Darlene attended the Church of God in Black Oak.  She was of the Pentecostal Faith.  She loved spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Left behind to cherish her memory is her husband of 43 years Dennis Cooper whom she married January 17, 1976 in Vanceburg.

One daughter- Juanita (Spanky) Richardson of Tollesboro, Ky.

Five sons- Dennis Jr. (Candy) Cooper of Garrison, Ky., Mitchell (Chrissy) Cooper; Christopher (Brittany Moore) Cooper; Timothy Cooper; and Tommy (Brittany Lewis) Cooper all of Vanceburg, Ky.

Sisters- Amanda (Ray) Polley and Joann (Robert) Elliott both of Vanceburg, Ky.

Alma (Kenneth) Cooper of Oak Harbor, Ohio; and Alice Monroe of Maysville, Ky.

Brothers- Harry (Tena) Carrington, Larry (Judy) Carrington, Roy (Nancy) Carrington all of Vanceburg, Ky., George (Daneyl) Carrington of Evansdale, Ind.

22-grandchildren and 7-great-grandchildren survive who also will mourn her passing.

Preceded Darlene in death beside her parents was a sister Wanda Lynn Carrington and a brother- Roger Carrington.

Funeral services will be Monday October 28, 2019 at 1:00 pm at the Gaydos Funeral Home with Brother Tommy Parks officiating.  Burial will follow in the Cedar Grove Cemetery on Holly.

Visitation will be Sunday October 27, 2019 from 5-8 pm and from 8:00am until time of services Monday at the funeral home.

Pallbearers for Darlene Cooper will be Cody Johnson, Hunter Cooper, Joey Owens, William Cooper, Ashton Cooper, Arnold Dyer, Curtis Wilburn, and Bill Mofford.
