Debrah Colby, Age 72, of Vanceburg passed away with her family by her side Sunday April 19, 2020 at the Vanceburg Rehabilitation & Health Care Center after an extended illness.
Debrah, was born in Bucyrus, Ohio August 29, 1947 to the late Asa and Roberta Rhodes Murphy. She was a Walmart associate in Bucyrus for 12 years, before that she worked for the Teynor Mobile home center in Bucyrus. Debrah was a devoted mother, and adored her grandchildren. Debrah was of the Christian faith. She loved coloring and doing puzzles.
Left to cherish Debrah’s memories are two daughters; Gayle (Todd) Wilson of Vanceburg, Ky., and Roberta R. Colby of Garrison, Ky.
Step-son- Johnie Colby Jr. of Goodwin, Kansas.
Sister- Tonya (Shawn) Coleman of Jackson, Ohio.
Two grandchildren- Constance (Merle) Horsley of Garrison, Ky., and Tereatha (Andy) Horsley of Vanceburg, Ky.
9-great-grandchildren and her friends and family at the Vanceburg Rehabilitation & Health Care center who also will mourn her passing.
Preceded in death beside her parents was her husband Johnie Colby in 2010 and a great-grandson- Eli Smith.
At Debrah request there will be no visitation or services at this time. A memorial service will be held at a later date at the convenience of the family.
