Delbert Smith Obituary

Mr. Delbert M. Smith, Age 97, of Vanceburg, Kentucky passed away Monday November 22, 2021 at Southern Ohio Medical Hospice Center in Portsmouth, Ohio.

Delbert was born in Galion, Ohio September 26, 1924 to the late Joseph H. and Della Miller Smith. Delbert worked as a machinist for Peabody Incorporated for 30 years in Galion, Ohio. Was a member of the Church of Christ in Galion.

Preceded in death beside his parents was his first wife Barbara Jean Smith in 1978, 2^nd wife- Veryl Smith in 2004, and a brother Ray Smith in 1933.

Surviving Delbert are two sons- Gary Smith of Pleasant Hill, California, John Smith of Sacramento, California.

Grandson- Eric Smith of Sacramento, California.

Step-children- Charles and Sharon Parsons, and Jerry Sanders all of Emerson, Kentucky.

Several step-grandchildren also survive who will mourn his passing.

At Delbert’s request there is no visitation or services at this time.
