Dorena Agnes Neal, Age 90, passed away Sunday October 13, 2024 now with her Lord and Saviour Jesus at the Tomball Nursing and Rehab Center in Tomball, Texas.

Dorena, was born in Lewis County, Kentucky April 22, 1934 the daughter of late Oscar H. and Bertie Marie Clark Harris of Vanceburg, Kentucky.  She was preceded in death by all 3 of her siblings, Marvin (Windy), James Warner Harris and Twin sister Darlena Landreth.

Left to cherish Dorena’s memories is a daughter- Shirley Lynn Neal of Lansing, Michigan.

Sons- Glenn (Donna) Neal – Conroe, Texas, Thomas (Jackie) Neal of Miami, Florida, and Mickey Neal of Chillicothe, Ohio.

Grandmother of nine grandchildren and ten great grandchildren.  She was Aunt to Cathy, Randy, Julie, Brian and Brent.  She leaves behind her late brother’s wives Betty Harris and Ruby Harris.  She was a mother and Grandmother figure to Kathi Cassity and Brent Priour.  Brent, who was placed by God to be Dorena’s friend, voice and watcher in her last days, a true blessing, her family thanks you sincerely.

She retired from Scioto Memorial Hospital after 25 years of service.  A devout Christian, helping in the church of Christ and a staunch supporter of Mike and Linda Briedenbaugh of Open Your Heart ministry.  She will be in the hearts and minds of all those who knew her.

Funeral services will be held Saturday 11:00 am October 19, 2024 at the Gaydos Funeral Home 159 2nd street Vanceburg, Kentucky 41179 with Brother Timothy Cassidy officiating.

Burial will follow in Lewis County Memory Gardens Black Oak, Kentucky.

Visitation will be Friday October 18, 2024 from 6-8 pm at the funeral home.

Family and friends will serve as pallbearers for Dorena Agnes Neal.
