Doris Ann Holt, Age 81, of Vanceburg, Kentucky passed away Wednesday December 1, 2021 at the Southern Ohio Medical Hospice Center in Portsmouth, Ohio.

Doris was born in Lewis County Kentucky August 14, 1940 to the late Raymond ‘Jack’ Arthurs and Margaret Meyers.  Doris was a homemaker and caregiver all her life.  She loved going camping, and fishing with her family.  She received the Lord in Baptism in the Foxport Baptist Church.  During her lifetime she has overcame cancer twice.  Doris was a loving Mother, and Grandmother.

Left to cherish Doris’s memories is a daughter- Patsy Holt of Ribolt, Kentucky.

Two sons- Chuck Holt of Tollesboro, Kentucky; and Rick Holt of Vanceburg, Kentucky.

One sister- Helen Moore of Blue Springs, Kentucky.

6-grandchildren, several great-grandchildren, and 8-great-great-grandchildren also survive who will also mourn her passing.

Preceded in death beside her parents was her husband, William ‘Bud’ Holt in 1999, daughter- Lisa Dawn Holt; son, Ronald Eugene ‘Butch’ Holt, sisters- Thelma Moore, Ruth Thurman, and Margie Doyle.  Brother Jimmy Arthurs.

Visitation will be Saturday December 4, 2021 from 11:00 am until 1:00 pm at the Gaydos Funeral Home 159 2^nd street Vanceburg, Kentucky 41179.

Funeral service will be Saturday December 4, 2021 @ 1:00 pm at the Funeral Home with Brother Phil Cropper officiating.  Burial will follow in the Burtonville Cemetery Burtonville, Kentucky.

In lieu of flowers donations can be made to The National Children’s Cancer Society 3411 East 7^th Street Columbus, Ohio 43219.

Family and friends will serve as pallbearers for Doris Ann Holt.
