Earl E. Cooley Jr.

Mr. Earl E. Cooley Jr., Age, 67 of Quincy, Kentucky passed away Friday December 2nd, 2022 surrounded by his family at the SOMC Hospice Center in Portsmouth, Ohio.  Earl was born in Cincinnati, Ohio August 9th, 1955 to the late Earl Cooley Sr. and Rose M. Logan Adams.

Earl, in his earlier years worked as a mechanic for McDaniel’s garage.  Then worked for the Lewis County School System as a custodian for 39 years.  Earl loved playing his guitar and going to several churches in the area to play for them.  He loved going to car shows, working on engines and doing carpentry.  He also liked talking on his CB and his handle was GOAT. Earl was of the Christian faith.   Most of all he loved his children and his grandbabies.

Left to cherish Earl’s memories is his wife Tina Cooper Cooley of Quincy, Kentucky.

One daughter- Kayla R. (Clinton) Stoops of Wheelersburg, Ohio.

Three sons- James Cooley of Vanceburg, Kentucky, Daniel (Kayla) Cooley- Portsmouth, Ohio, and Michael Cooper of Quincy, Kentucky.

Sisters- Phyliss (David) VanHoose of Garrison, Kentucky, and April (Greg) Kiselak of Black Oak, Kentucky.

Brothers- Vincent Cooley of Garrison, Kentucky and Raymond Cooley of Tollesboro, Kentucky.

9-grandchildren and extended family and friends who also will mourn his passing.

Preceded in death beside his parents was a Niece Wanda Adkins.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday December 6th, 2022 at 1:00 pm at the Gaydos Funeral Home with Pastor Blake Bivens officiating.  Burial will follow in the Waring cemetery Garrison, Kentucky.

Visitation will be Monday December 5th, 2022 from 5-8 pm and Tuesday from 9:00am until time of services at Gaydos Funeral Home in Vanceburg, Kentucky.

Pallbearers for Earl E. Cooley Jr. will be- Daniel Cooley, Raymond Cooley, Matthew Cooley, Nick Kiselak, and Clinton Stoops.
