Obituary

Mr. Earl E. Cooper, Age 87, of Vanceburg, Kentucky passed away Thursday September 30th, 2021 at his home after an extended illness.

Earl, was born in Lewis County March 23rd, 1934 to the late George W. and Rhoda Sparks Cooper.  Earl worked for the United Screw & Bolt Company in Cleveland, Ohio from there he moved back to the area and was employed by the Dayton Walther Corporation in Portsmouth, Ohio from which he retired.  He also was a courier for Citizens Deposit Bank & Trust in Vanceburg, Ky.  Earl was a member of the Bivens Chapel Church, he also loved reading his Bible and doing word search puzzles.  Earl was a United States Army veteran in which he so proudly served.

Left to cherish Earl’s memories are four daughter’s Vicki (Arnold) Underwood of Maysville, Ky., Melody (John) Mathis of Almo, Ky., Jill (Brian) Lambert of Garrison, Ky., and Stacy (Brian) Flannery of Oldtown, Ky.

Sister- Audrey Louderback of Oak Hill, Ohio.  Special caregiver Debbie Ruckel.

8-grandchildren and 6-great-grandchildren also survive who will mourn his passing.

Preceded in death beside his parents was his wife Shirlene Hall Cooper in 2017.  Brothers- Elwood, Pat, Ralph, Bill, and George Cooper.  Sisters- Ilene Cooper, Mamie Horsley, Gladys Blevins, Kate McCleese, and Mae Cooper.

Sons-in-law- Steve McVey, Rick Clark, and Jim Boone.

Visitation will be Saturday October 2nd, 2021 from 6-8 pm and from 10:00 am until time of services Sunday at the Bivens Chapel Church Garrison, Ky.

Funeral services will be Sunday October 3rd, 2021 at 11:00 am at the Bivens Chapel Church with Brother Ronnie Conley officiating.  Burial will follow in the Skidmore cemetery.

Military graveside rites will be accorded by the V.F.W. Post 5438 Monte Lewis Stamm of Vanceburg, Ky.

Pallbearers for Earl Cooper will be Aaron Justice, Matthew Lambert, Bryson Clark, Kevin Sanders, Richie Kasper, and Willie Sowards.
