Elizabeth Duff Obituary

Ms.  Elizabeth (Lizzie) Duff, Age 103, of Vanceburg, Kentucky passed away Thursday August 26th, 2021 at the Vanceburg Rehabilitation & Health Care Center.

Lizzie was born in Hazard, Kentucky June 10, 1918 to the late Green and Susie Baker Campbell.  Lizzie was a homemaker all her life. She loved quilting and working in her garden.  She especially enjoyed being with her grandchildren.  She attended the Blankenship Christian Holiness Church.  Was a member of the Happy Free Will Baptist Church in Perry County, Ky.

Left to cherish Lizzie’s memories is a daughter- Betty Bloomfield of Vanceburg.

One son- Everett (Joyce) Duff of Vanceburg.  Brother- Tolbert Campbell of Perry County, Ky.

7-grandchildren, 19-great-grandchildren, and many great-great-grandchildren who also survive who will mourn her passing.

Preceded in death beside her parents was her husband Ewell Duff in 2007.  One son- Arlie Duff, one -daughter- Alline Campbell.  6-sisters- Maude Couch, Mallie Colwell, Vicie Oliver, Chloe Stidham, Pauline Dobson, and May Hoskins.  9-brothers- Jess, Wayne, Bige, Hiram, Charlie, Rufus, Sewell, Sherman, and Jimmie Campbell.

Graveside services will be held Monday August 30th, 2021 at 1:00 pm at Lewis County Memory Gardens Black Oak, Kentucky with Brother John Lewis officiating.  Burial will follow.

Grandchildren will serve as pallbearers for Elizabeth (Lizzie) Duff.

In lieu of flowers Lizzie’s request donations can be made to the Vanceburg Christian Baptist Church or to any local food bank.
