Ellie Francis (Johnson) Brown

Ellie Francis Johnson Brown, Age 84, of Vanceburg, passed away Sunday, January 12, 2025, at Southern Ohio Medical Center in Portsmouth, Ohio.

She was born at Portsmouth, Ohio, on September 15, 1940, a daughter of the late Willard and Mamie Louise Jesse Johnson.  She had worked as a disc jockey at WKKS Radio in Vanceburg and WPAY Radio in Portsmouth, Ohio.  Ellie was a member of Vanceburg Christian Church.  She enjoyed attending concerts, chatting on the CB, and listening to classic country music on the radio.

Survivors include her husband of 47 years, Randy Brown; two daughters, Valerie (Philip) Jordan of Garrison and Lindsey Brown of Vanceburg; three sons, JD (Ginger) Ramsey of Columbus, Ohio, Darren (Anita) Ramsey of Grove City, Ohio, and Mark (Paula) Reinhardt of Vinton, Ohio; 12 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; and special brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Dennis and Tammy Brown.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two sons, Jeffrey Ramsey and Brian Ramsey; a sister, Beulah Daniels; and a brother, Gene Johnson.

Services were at the convenience of the family with Bro. John Byard officiating.  Burial was in Lewis County Memory Gardens at Black Oak.
