Eric L. Hughes, Age 45, of Ashland, Kentucky formerly of Vanceburg passed away Sunday November 3, 2024 at his home in Ashland after a brief illness.

Eric was born in Maysville, Kentucky December 26, 1978 to the late David Leonard and Martina Sue Kennard Hughes.  Eric liked sitting and watching the boats go by on the Ohio river where he spent his time fishing.  He also enjoyed riding his bicycles.  He was an avid fisherman.  Most of all he loved spending time with his family.

Left to cherish Eric’s memories are 4 sisters- Charity (Kenneth) Stout and Louann (Tim) McClurg both of Tollesboro, Ky., Lisa (Carl) Ginn and Thelma (Cecil) McCane both of Vanceburg, Ky.

Two brothers- George Hughes and Keith Hughes both of Vanceburg, Ky.  Along with several nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews who also will mourn his passing.

A Memorial service will be held Saturday November 16, 2024 at 2:00 pm at Evans cemetery on Town Branch with Brother Jacob Sartin officiating.  Burial will follow in Evans cemetery.
