Ester Skidmore

Ester Tackett Skidmore Age 74. Passed away Wednesday February 17, 2021 at her home with family by her side. She was born January 1, 1947 in Melvin, Kentucky to the late Glenn and Carrie Johnson Tackett.

Ester attended church at the Spears Mill Baptist church in Bourbon County, Kentucky. She was a member of the V.F.W. Post 5438, and a member of Kiwanis International. Ester loved to travel and loved spending time with her family, especially her Grandchildren and great grandchildren.

She is survived by Four daughters Roxane (Larry) Robinson of Southshore, Ky, Belinda Kegley of Ashland, Kentucky, Rachel (Tom) Rudd of Lexington, Kentucky, and Kendra (Robbie) Skidmore-Morris of Cynthiana, Kentucky. Seven Grandchildren Jacob Kegley, Kent Robinson, Brandon Robinson, Zack McKee, Breanna Skidmore, Katie Martin, and Desi Wiglesworth, and 9 Great Grandchildren. Three brothers Carlos Tackett of Garrison, Kentucky, Homer Tackett of Sandy Hook, Kentucky, and Glen Tackett Jr. of South Portsmouth, Kentucky. Three sisters Martha Skidmore of Garrison, Kentucky, Nellie Thurman of Garrison, Kentucky and Eliza Ferguson of Black Oak, Kentucky, and many nieces and nephews also survive.

Preceded in death beside her parents is her husband Roy E. Johnson, daughter Kimberly Skidmore, Brothers Ben Tackett and Edward Tackett. Sisters Thelma Jones, Betty Bloomfield, and Emma Jean Younce.

Services will be held Tuesday February 23, 2021 at 1:00p.m. at the Gaydos Funeral Home 159 second street Vanceburg, Kentucky 41179 with Brother Wes Cooper officiating. Burial will follow at the Skidmore cemetery in Garrison, Kentucky.

Friends may call from 10:00a.m. until the time of services Tuesday February 23,2021.
