Harold Evans Obituary

Harold Eugene Evans, Age 89, of Vanceburg went to be with his saviour Monday at 2:05 pm November 26, 2012 at his home with his family by his side.

Mr. Evans was born in Vanceburg, Kentucky February 1, 1923 to the late Ithel Elwood and Dolly Mae Lewis Evans.

Mr. Evans worked for U.S.Shoe Company in Vanceburg from 1957 to 1973. He served as Minister of the Evans Chapel Church on Town Branch for several years. Mr. Evans served his country in the United States Army as a corporal during World War II.

Surviving is his wife of 66 years whom he married in Vanceburg July 6, 1946 Crystal Blanton Evans of Vanceburg, Ky.

Two Daughters- Donna (Elza) Kimbler of Bucyrus, Ohio and Joyce (Ron) Perry of Vanceburg, Ky.

One Son- David (Donna) Evans of Tollesboro, Ky.

One Sister- Audrey Thomas of Johannesburg, Michigan.

Three Brothers- Herb (Nellie) Evans of Cincinnati, Ohio, Acel (Brenda) Evans of Vanceburg, Ky. and Ray (Wildonna) Evans of Lucasville, Ohio.

Four Grandchildren and Ten-Great-Grandchildren also survive.

Preceded in death beside his parents was one sister- Lavita Griffith, and five brothers- Frank, Gordon, Donnie, Kenny, and Ralph Evans.

Memorial may be given to the Hospice of Hope Maysville, Ky. 909 Kenton Station Drive Maysville, Ky. 41056.

Friends may call from 5-8pm Thursday and from 8:00am until time of services Friday at the Gaydos Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be Friday November 30, 2012 at 1:00PM at the Gaydos Funeral Home with Brother Ronald Hall officiating. Burial will follow in the Evans Cemetery Vanceburg, Ky.
