Mr. Harold J. Ruark Jr., Age 75, of Vanceburg, Ky. Passed away at his daughter’s home in Maysville, Ky. Monday October 19^th, 2020 after an extended illness.

Harold was born in Lewis County, Kentucky February 23, 1945 to the late Harold Ruark Sr. and Judy May Turner. 

Harold was a Veteran of the United States Army in which he so proudly served.  He was a self-employed mechanic and was employed in various factories around the area.  Harold was of the Christian faith.  Harold was the type of person who was always giving a helping hand to others.  He was an outdoorsman, and loved going fishing and hunting.

Surviving is his wife of 52 years Virgie Harris Ruark of Vanceburg, Ky.

Daughters- Angela (Charles) Swift of Maysville, Ky., and Mary Jo Caniola of Concord, Ky.

Two sons- John Lewis Ruark, and Donald Ruark both of Maysville, Ky.

Step-son- Jackie Johnson of Portsmouth, Ohio.

Sister- Glenda Purdon of Maysville, Ky.

Brothers- Mitchell (Diana) Ruark of Tollesboro, Ky., and Danny (Rhonda) Ruark of Aberdeen, Ohio.

9-grandchildren and 3-great-grandchildren also survive who will mourn his passing.

Preceded in death beside his parents was a son- Ronald ‘Red’ Ruark, 3-brothers- Delphin Ruark, Garland Ruark, and Charles Ruark.  3-sisters- Baby sister- Mary Ruark, Margaret Evans, and Connie Clark.

At Harold’s request there will be no visitation or services.

A Memorial service will be held at a later date at the convenience of the family.
