Hazel Imogine Fannin Obituary

Hazel Imogine Stone Fannin, Age 94, of Vanceburg, Kentucky passed away Tuesday October 1, 2024 surrounded by her loving family at the Kenton Pointe Hospice Center in Maysville, Kentucky.

Hazel was born in Lewis County, Kentucky September 29, 1930 to the late Mantford and Sarah Helterbrand Stone. 

Hazel was a member of the Scotts Branch Church of Christ.  She loved her flowers, and going fishing when she could.  She was also loved baking and work on her quilting in her spare time.

Left to cherish Hazel’s memories is a step-son- Stephen (Debbie) Fannin of Vanceburg, Ky.

Grandchildren- Stephanie Taylor, Sheryl (Sam) Bond, and Joseph (Danielle) Evans.  Great-grandchildren- Cody Zornes, Elizabeth Taylor, Breanna Bond, Kaitlyn Bond, Cruz Evans, Hailee Evans, and Christopher Evans.

Great-great-grandchild- Avery Gilvin.  Step-grandchildren- Clint( Amanda) Fannin, and Cairee Fannin.  Step-great-grandchildren- Weston, Harrison, and Theodore Fannin.  Along with several nieces and nephews who also will mourn her passing.

Preceded Hazel in death beside her parents was her husband Clinton Fannin in 1999, daughter- Janet Evans in 1998, son- Johnny Blevins, step-son- Walter Watson Fannin, sisters- Minnie Blevins, Lillie Blevins, and Margaret Hall. brothers- Harry, William Edward, Junior, and Roy Stone.  Son-in-law-Larry Dale Evans in 2024.

Visitation will be Saturday October5, 2024 from 11:00 am until 1:00 pm at the Gaydos Funeral Home.

Funeral Service will be held at 1:00 pm Saturday October 5, 2024 at Gaydos Funeral Home with Brother Jerry Bloomfield officiating.  Burial will follow in the Morgan Cemetery at the Head of Grassy.

Pallbearers for Hazel Imogine Fannin will be Sam Bond, Joe Evans, Chris Evans, Cruz Evans, Steve Frodge, Payton Gilvin, and Ryan Smart.  Honorary pallbearer will be Cody Zornes.  Condolences may be sent to the family at www.gaydosfh.comm
