James Tracy Wright Obituary
Mr. James Tracy Wright, Age 73, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family Monday May, 10, 2021 at the Kenton Pointe Hospice Center in Maysville, Kentucky after an extended illness. Tracy was born in Lewis County August 18, 1947 to the late Foley and Vestie Lawson Wright.
Tracy worked in Michigan for the Fisher Body Company, also in construction for many years. He briefly worked at Browning’s in Maysville. Tracy loved the outdoors going camping with his family and working in his garden. Tracy was a Loving Father and Great husband. He loved spending time with his family and adored his grandchildren. He enjoyed playing Gottcha with family and friends.
Left to cherish Tracy’s memories is his wife of 54 years whom he married May 28, 1966 Lora Flinders Wright.
Daughters- Greta (Kenneth) Applegate- Tollesboro, Ky.; Connie Wright of Vanceburg, Ky.
Sons- Timmy Lee (Sheryl) Wright and James ‘Slugger’ (Stephanie) Wright both of Vanceburg.
Brother- Lawrence Wright of Fleming, County.
Grandchildren- Tim Jr.; Jessica, Shania, Kelly, Jennifer, Miriam, Alexus, Sarah, Nikki, Emily, Jamie, Tracy, Leslie, James III, and Luke.
Great- grandchildren- Roxanne, Jazlynn, Macy, Chance, Holt, Justice, Noble, and Destiny who also will mourn his passing.
Preceded in death beside his parents was a son Eddie James Wright, brothers- Paul, Howard, and Charles Wright. Sisters- Lula Mae Riley, and Goldie Thoroughman.
Funeral services will be held Friday May 14th, 2021 at 1:00 pm at the Happy Hollow Union Church with Brother Bryan Davis officiating. Burial will follow in the Happy Hollow Union cemetery.
Visitation will be Friday from 10:00 am until time of services at the Church.
Pallbearers for James Tracy Wright will be Tim Jr., James Jr., DeWayne Sexton, Kenneth Applegate, Harlan Scott, Spencer Cash, and Johnny Wright.
