Jazz Austin Secrest, Age 23, of Raceland, Kentucky formerly of Vanceburg passed away Sunday July 9, 2017 in Lloyd, Kentucky.

Jazz was born September 19, 1993 to Dane Secrest of Vanceburg, Kentucky and Kim Lee McIntosh of Raceland, Kentucky.

 

Jazz was in his Senior year at the University of Kentucky where he was on the Deans' List & was majoring in History. Jazz loved to play basketball and was an avid fan of UK basketball. He loved music, playing video games and golfing. People enjoyed his quiet comfort. Jazz LOVED his dog 'Journey'. He enjoyed hanging out with his little brother Isaiah which he felt was a blessing. Also, spending time with his nieces and nephews Jayden, Kristi, Skylar, and Tristan doing various things.

 

Surviving is his Mother- Kim (Kelly) McIntosh of Raceland, Ky.

Father - Dane Secrest of Vanceburg, Ky.

Two sisters- Tabbitha Secrest and her fiance' Randy Holbrook of Paintsville, Ky.

Kaylee Cooper of Lexington, Ky.

One brother- Isaiah McIntosh- Raceland, Ky.

Maternal grandparents- David and Vickie Lee of Vanceburg, Ky.

Paternal grandmother- Betty Secrest of Vanceburg, Ky.

Nieces and nephews Jayden, Kristi, Skylar, & Tristan and other family members who will mourn his passing.

 

Preceded in death was his paternal grandfather Zeke Secrest and Maternal great-grandmother- Edith Pierce Westfall better known as 'Old Granny'.

 

Visitation will be Wednesday July 12th, 2017 from 5-8 pm and from 8:00am until time of services Thursday at the Gaydos Funeral Home 159 2^nd Street Vanceburg, Kentucky 41179.

Funeral services will be Thursday July 13, 2017 at 11:00 AM at the Gaydos Funeral Home with Pastor Tom Cox Jr. officiating. Burial will follow in the Lewis County Memory Gardens Black Oak, Ky.

 

Pallbearers for Mr. Jazz Austin Secrest will be Dane Secrest, Randy Holbrook, Tabbitha Holbrook, Isaiah McIntosh, Kelly McIntosh, Matt Lee, Ritchie Whitford, Chase Waddell, Colton Dixon, and John McFaull.
