Jesse Louise Kennard, Age 89, of Tollesboro, Kentucky passed away Thursday June 5, 2025 at the Maysville Nursing & Rehabilitation Center Maysville, Kentucky.

Louise was born in Tollesboro, Kentucky March 8, 1936 to the late Jesse and Fannie Walker Spence.  She was a homemaker and worked for Hospice of Hope and Home Health Care Center.  She was a member of the Bivens Chapel Church and also attended the Clarksburg Christian Church.  Louise was a graduate and Valedictorian of Tollesboro High School Class of 1954.

Left to cherish her memories are three nephews- Darrell (Brenda) Spence of Manchester, Ohio; Phil (Connie) Spence and Danny McCoy both of Tollesboro, Kentucky.

One niece- Lisa McCoy Flora.

Three great-nieces- Robin Barnes-Vanceburg, Kentucky; Christy Taylor- Tolle

boro, Kentucky, and Lacy Lykins of Maysville, Kentucky.

Five great nephews- Darin (Megan) Spence- Tollesboro, Kentucky, Brian Spence- Maysville, Kentucky, Stacy (Hope) Lykins-Tollesboro, Kentucky, T. J. Lykins- Alexandria, Kentucky, and James Shumacher (Rita Purcell)- Manchester, Ohio. She was ‘granny ease’ to Waylen, Raegan, and Addlyn Spence.  Special friends John and Krista Lewis of Vanceburg, Kentucky.    Numerous great-great- nieces and nephews also survive who will mourn her passing.

Preceded Louise in death beside her parents was her husband George William Kennard, a son- James Alan Kennard, 1-brother- Ray Spence, 1-great-niece- Amber Dawn McCoy, and 1-great-nephew- Dallas Schumacher.

Funeral services for Jesse Louise Kennard will be held Thursday June 12, 2025 at 12:00 pm at Gaydos Funeral Home with Brother John Lewis officiating.  Burial will follow in Hillcrest Garden of Memories Maysville, Kentucky.

Visitation will be Thursday June 12, 2025 from 10:00 am until 12:00 pm at Gaydos Funeral Home 159 2nd street Vanceburg, Kentucky 41179.

Pallbearers for Jesse Louise Kennard will be Darrell Spence, Phil Spence, Darin Spence, Brian Spence, Waylen Spence, Danny McCane, and Mike Patton.
