Mr. John Pettitt, Age 57, of Vanceburg, Kentucky passed away Thursday June 7, 2018 at SOMC in patient hospice center Portsmouth , Ohio.

 

John was born in Barberton, Ohio June 21, 1960 to the late Myron Leroy and Mary Pettitt. John was a truck driver for several years with Fannin Trucking Company. He was a member of the Happy Hollow church, served in the United States Army, enjoyed playing board games, fishing, boating, camping, and spending time with his girls. He loved to shopping fireworks, and Ohio State Football. He loved his church and God.

 

Surviving is his wife Connie Wright Pettitt whom he married on February 10, 2018.

5-Daughters Alexus Pettitt, Miriam Elmouni, Sarah Pettitt, and Nikki Pettitt all still at home, and April Pettitt of Canton, Ohio

1- Son Joshua Pettitt of Canton, Ohio

Sister and Brother In-Laws Tim (Sheryl) Wright, Greta (Kenneth) Applegate, and James (Stephanie) Wright

One Brother Donald Pettitt

 

Preceded in death beside his parents are 2-Sisters Cynthia McDowell and Phyllis Pettitt and a Brother Elmer Pettitt

 

Funeral Services will be Sunday June 10, 2018 at 1:00pm at the Gaydos Funeral Home 159 second street, Vanceburg, Ky 41179 with Pastor Darby Beekman officiating. Burial will follow at the Happy Hollow Cemetery in Ribolt, Kentucky.

 

Visitation is Sunday June 10, 2018 from Noon until the time of services at the Gaydos Funeral Home.

 

Military graveside rites will be accorded by V.F.W. Post 5438 Monte Lewis Stamm Vanceburg, Kentucky.

 

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Gaydos Funeral Home to help defray the funeral expenses.
