Junior Lee Hollar, Age 87, of Vanceburg, Kentucky passed away Sunday December 31, 2023 at Southern Ohio Medical Center in Portsmouth, Ohio.

Junior was born in Fleming County, Kentucky April 4, 1936 to the late John Daniel and Lena W. Beckett Hollar.  Junior was a farmer all of his life. He also worked for Hildermyer Tree Nursery.  He attended the Petersville Church of God and the Heselton Baptist Church.

Preceded in death beside his parents three sisters- Helen McRoberts, Christine Karrick, and Shirley Stanfield.  One brother- Eugene Hollar.

Left to cherish his memories is a sister- Mary Ann (John) Evans of Salt Lick, Kentucky.

Along with several nieces and nephews that survive who will mourn his passing.

Funeral services will be Wednesday January 3, 2024 at 12:00 pm at the Gaydos Funeral Home 159 2nd street Vanceburg, Kentucky with Pastor David Hickerson officiating.  Burial will follow in the Mineer Cemetery Foxport, Kentucky.

Visitation will be Wednesday January 3, 2024 from 11:00 am until time of services at the funeral home.

Pallbearers for Junior Lee Hollar will be Nelson Kielman, Robert Thurman, Kyle Bloomfield, Nathaniel Thurman, Dave Hollar, and Tommy Parks.
