Kathleen (Nolen) Lightner

Kathleen Lightner, Age 90, of Vanceburg, Kentucky passed away Wednesday December 14, 2022 at Southern Ohio Medical Center in Portsmouth, Ohio unexpectedly.

Kathleen was born in Lewis County, Kentucky March 8, 1932 to the late Mart and Rhoda Smith Nolen. Kathleen was of the Christian faith.  She was a homemaker.  She loved her children and especially her grandchildren.

Left to cherish Kathleen memories is a daughter- Barbara Lightner of Vanceburg, Kentucky.

Son- Ernie Henderson of Greenup, Kentucky.

Sister- Parthene Nolen Buckner of Vanceburg, Kentucky.

12-grandchildren, and 30 great-grandchildren also survive who will mourn her passing.

Billy Joe Lightner (Tara), and Albert Lightner whom she raised.

Preceded in death beside her parents was her husband- Willie Elmer Lightner in 2020, son- Ralph Dean Henderson, Daughter- Venita ‘Kay’ Lawhun, grandson- Robert Lee Lightner,

Sister- Nellie Nolen Buckner, Brothers- Elwood Nolen, Bert Nolen, Mason Nolen, Jimmy Nolen, Ted Nolen, and Lovell Nolen.

Graveside services will be Sunday December 18, 2022 at 11:00 am at the Lightner cemetery Vanceburg, Kentucky.  Brother Daniel Cooley officiating.  Burial will follow in the Lightner cemetery.

Visitation will be Sunday December 18, 2022 at 10:00 am at the Gaydos Funeral Home.
