Kenneth E. Holland

Kenneth “Sunny” Edward Holland, Age 76, went to paradise to be with our Lord on October 2, 2021. He was the son of the late Thomas Daniel Holland and Mildred Spriggs Schreck. He was born on April 9, 1945 in Maysville, Kentucky.

Sunny worked as a welder, and a carpenter. He was a member of the Catlettsburg 1445 Laborers local Union, and a member of the Teamsters Local 92. He was a jack of all trades. He was proud to be a Kentucky Colonel, enjoyed building, and wasn’t afraid of hard work. Sunny love gardening and spending time with his dog Diesel. He enjoyed driving around Lewis County in his side by side. Loved all wildlife and the changing of the seasons.

Sunny was preceded in death by one son Kenny Holland. One brother Steven Thomas Holland. Three sisters Margaret Holland, Ellen Logan, and Sheila Claxon.   

Left to cherish Sonny’s memories is his wife of 56 years, Connie Liles Holland of Garrison, Ky., One son Kenneth (Tina) Holland of Garrison, Ky. Two daughters Tina (Tim) Grant of Garrison, Ky and Trina Holland (Mike) of Garrison, Ky. Grandchildren Stella (Joe) Meade, Nycole (Jake) Osborne, Kenny (Sam) Holland, Maelina (Dillion) Ginn, Krystin (Ernest) Corns, Teanna Holland, Lyndsi Grant, and Hunter Gilliam. Great Grandchildren Alexia Meade, Sophia Meade, Elaynna Osborne, Raynna Osborne. One sister-in-law Cheryl (Harold) Ingold of Tennesse. Two sisters Elsa Tackett of Garrison, Ky, and Sheryl (Steve) Palmer of Florida. Sister in-law Jenette Holland of Garrison, Ky. Many other family and friends who will mourn his passing.

Pallbearers for Mr. Kenneth ‘Sunny’ Holland will be Kenny Holland, Jacob Osborne, Ernest Corns,Mike Justice, Hunter Gilliam, and Trina Holland.

A Graveside service will be held October 5, 2021 at 1:00 p.m. at the Waring cemetery in Garrison, Kentucky with Brother Jason Thurman Jr. officiating.  Gaydos Funeral Home in Vanceburg, Kentucky is in charge of all arrangements.
