Kenneth Watson Obituary

Mr. Kenneth H. Watson, Age 79, of Wallingford, Kentucky passed away Friday August 7, 2020 at the Pioneer Trace Nursing Home in Flemingsburg, Kentucky after an extended illness.

Kenneth was born in Lewis County, Kentucky November 9, 1940 to the late Hubert and Rachel Kegley Watson.  Kenneth was a farmer all his life and was a member of the Mt. Carmel United Methodist Church. Enjoyed fishing and going on his ATV. Loves spending time with his family. Was the founder of the Mud Lick Valley Raceway. 

Left to cherish Kenneth’s memories is his wife of 57 years whom he married April 6, 1963 Janet Cropper Watson of Wallingford, Ky.

Three daughters- Kathy Livingood of Cynthiana, Ky., and Karen (Darrell) Mineer of Mt. Carmel, Ky, and Kristi (Jeff) Riley of Morehead, Ky.

One son- Kevin (Michelle) Watson of Foxport, Ky.

Grandchildren- Heath Allen Mineer (Holly Wells), Andrea Livingood (Justin Doyle), Ariel Watson (Samuel Daniel), Devin Watson, and Jaxson Riley. One Great Granddaughter Abigail Doyle

Sisters- Vivian Lykins and Alma Gilbert both of Vanceburg, Ky., Doris Stamm of Oak Ridge, Ky.

Brothers- Frank Watson of Columbus, Ohio, Wendell Watson of Clintwood Virginia, and Earl Watson of Columbus, Ohio

Preceded in death beside his parents was a sister- Geraldine Dewey

A Memorial service will be held Saturday August 15, 2020 at 12:00p.m. with Brother Layne Wagner. Visitation will be from 10:00a.m. until the time of service at the Mt. Carmel United Methodist Church.

Private graveside services will be at a later date in the Mt. Carmel Cemetery Mt. Carmel, Ky.
