Lula R. (Jordan) Butler

Lula R. Butler, Age 92, of Elizabethtown, Kentucky formerly of Vanceburg, Kentucky passed away Sunday October 15, 2023 at the Tender Touch Senior Living Center in Elizabethtown, Kentucky.

Lula was born in Fitch, Kentucky October 22, 1930 to the late William and Julia Annette Edington Jordan.  Lula was a lifelong farmer and homemaker.  She loved to crochet and tend to her flowers and garden.  She was a member of the 1068 Independent Church of Christ.

Preceding her in death beside her parents was her husband Lewis Leslie Richmond in 1990.  Sisters- Verna Smith, Cophine Keller, Naomi Littleton, Loretta Jordan, Isabella Henderson, Goldie Jordan, and Freida Carroll.  Twin brother- Luther Jordan at birth.

Surviving Lula to cherish her memories is a daughter- Wilma Sue (Glenn) Eddy of Minford, Ohio.

Son- Gary Vernon Richmond of Sonora, Kentucky.

Sisters-Nellie Robertson of New Hampshire; Olive Winters of Alabama, Verdis Enix of Vanceburg, Kentucky.

One brother- John Franklin (Jo Ann) Jordan of Vanceburg, Kentucky.

Funeral services will be held Thursday October 19, 2023 at 12:00 p.m. at the Gaydos Funeral 159 2nd street Vanceburg, Kentucky 41179 with Brother Ronnie Enix officiating.  Burial will follow in the Jordan cemetery Laurel, Kentucky.

Family and friends will serve as pallbearers for Lula R. Butler.
