Marlin Caseman Obituary

Marlin M. Caseman, 100 years of age passed away at his home December 31, 2023 in Vanceburg, Kentucky.

Marlin, was born February 9, 1923 in Vanceburg, Kentucky to the late Beryl and Sarah Yates Caseman.  Marlin worked for various sawmills in the surrounding area and also worked for U.S. Shoe Corporation here in Vanceburg for several years.  Marlin had an artistic flair of taking anything and making it useful.  Marlin was a veteran in the United States Army during World War II in which he was so proud of.  Most of all he Loved his children and grandchildren.

Preceded in death beside his parents was his wife Lorene Smith Caseman in 2012.  Three sons- Randolph Caseman, Leroy Caseman, and Donald Caseman.

One sister- Kathryn Caseman.

Five brothers- Lee Caseman, William Caseman, Leonard Caseman, Clearence Caseman, and James Caseman.  One great-great-grandson Isaac Corns.

Left to cherish memories of Marlin is a daughter- Barbara (Ted) Wells of Vanceburg, Kentucky.

One son- Henry (Barb) Caseman of Vanceburg, Kentucky.

Two grandchildren-Kathy (Chuck) Riffe and Karen (David) Morgan both of Vanceburg, Kentucky.

Four great granddaughters- Stephanie Corns, Christy Carver, Kelli Riffe, and Erika Morgan.

8-great-great-grandchildren- Charles, Henry, Sawyer, Ariona, Elaina, Kayrena, Noah, and Colson also survive who will mourn his passing.

Graveside services will be held Wednesday January 3, 2024 at 11:00 am at the Evans cemetery Vanceburg, Kentucky with Brother Tony Corns officiating.

Military graveside services will be accorded by the VFW Monte Lewis Stamm Post 5438.
