Mickle Dyer Obituary
Mickle “Mad Dog” Dyer, 61, passed away peacefully in his sleep Friday December 26, 2014 at the home of his daughter following a lengthy battle with Lung Cancer. Mickle was born April 26, 1953 in Olive Hill, Ky. To the late Rosco and Gladys Nolan Dyer. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son Matthew Christopher Dyer and a brother Roger Dean Dyer.
Mickle is survived by daughters Gladys Eggelston and Louella (Patrick) Hedges both of Bucyrus; grandson Gabriel Eggelston; former wife Ruth Gillespie of Winchester, Ohio; brother Elmer Dyer and sister Carolyn Jean Plank both of Vanceburg, Ky.
Mickle lived in Vanceburg, Ky., Bucyrus, and most recently in Groveport, Ohio. He last worked for 13 years at the Columbus Auto Fair Auction in Obetz. Mickle enjoyed shooting guns, fishing, and travel.
A Memorial service will be held on Saturday January 3, 2014 at 3:00 pm at the Gaydos Funeral Home 159 2nd Street Vanceburg, Ky. 41179. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 1:00 pm until the time of services. The family suggests memorials be made to the James Cancer Center or the Martha Moore House in Columbus.
