Ms. Mona V. Bond, Age 86, of Danville, Kentucky formerly of Vanceburg passed away Friday July 5th, 2019 at the Charleston Health Care Center in Danville, Kentucky.
Mona was born in Oak Ridge, Tennessee April 16, 1933 to the late Hoyt Lee and Maggie Lee Copeland Smith. She was a homemaker all her life. Mona was of the Christian Faith.
Surviving is a step-daughter- Jeanette (David) Jones of Lexington, Kentucky.
Step-son- Ronald Bond of Dallas, Texas.
One brother- Shirell Smith of Oak Ridge, Tennessee
Two sisters- Norma Newton of Gastonia, North Carolina, and Charlene Smith of Oak Ridge, Tennessee.
7- step-grandchildren, several- great step-grandchildren and numerous step- great, great-grandchildren who will also mourn her passing.
She was preceded in death beside her parents was her husband Charles D. Bond, a step-daughter- Betty Hughes, and a sister Hilda Smith.
Graveside services will be held Tuesday July 9, 2019 at 1:00 pm at the Rose Hill Burial Park Ashland, Kentucky with Brother Shawn Burchett officiating. Burial will follow at the Rose Hill Burial Park.
