Nancy Mae (Hobbs) Carrington

Nancy Mae Hobbs Carrington, Age 67, of Vanceburg, Kentucky passed away with her loving family by her side May 24, 2025 at the Vanceburg Hills Nursing Home after an extended illness.

 Nancy was born November 5, 1957 in Lewis County, a daughter of late Wilford and Opal Mae McLeese Hobbs. Nancy worked for Superior Fibers and was a homemaker.   

Left to cherish Nancy’s memories is her husband Roy Carrington of 49 years of Vanceburg, Ky. Two daughters, Rebecca Tackett of Vanceburg, KY, Rachel Passarella of Sarasota, Florida.

One son Anthony (Jessica) Carrington of Vanceburg, Kentucky. One brother Kenneth (Regina) Hobbs of Vanceburg, Kentucky. Eight grandchildren along with many friends who also will mourn her passing.

Preceded in death beside her parents were nine brothers Roy Hobbs, Virgil Hobbs, Willie Hobbs, Ralph Hobbs, Gary Hobbs, Jack Hobbs, James Hobbs, Roger Hobbs and Kendall Hobbs. Three sisters Marlene Williamson, Pauline Collier, Darlene Barker.

Graveside services will be held Wednesday May 28, 2025 at 1:00 pm in Lewis County Memory Gardens Black Oak, Ky. With Brother Larry Carrington officiating.  Burial will follow.
