Naomi Charlene Burriss, Age 70, of South Shore, Kentucky passed away Saturday December 14, 2024 at the Southern Ohio Medical Center in Portsmouth, Ohio.
Charlene, was born in Stricklett, Kentucky March 13, 1954 to the late James G. Rickett and Doris Cooper Linville. Charlene worked for the U.S. Shoe Bow factory in Vanceburg for over 21 years. She liked sewing, coloring and reading romance novels in her spare time. She was of the Christian faith. Charlene loved her family and adored her grandchildren. She also loved her pets.
Left to cherish her memories is her husband of 32 years Ronnie Burriss of South Shore, Kentucky.
Three daughters- April (Tommy) Brown, and Jenny (Bobby) Hunt both of Maysville, Kentucky. Selena Darnell and Roger Meadows of Vanceburg, Kentucky.
Three sisters- Peggy (Frank) Clark, Sherri (David) Burriss, and Debbie (Nelson) Burriss all of Vanceburg, Kentucky.
6- grandchildren- Matthew Maynard, Josh Burriss, Michael Brown, Dalton (Shelby) Riggs, Cody Roberson, and Zach Burriss. Along with several other family and friends who will also mourn her passing.
Preceded in death beside her parents was a sister- Patricia Handshoe.
Visitation will be Thursday December 19, 2024 from 10:00 am until 11:30 am at the Gaydos Funeral Home 159 2nd street Vanceburg, Kentucky.
Graveside services will be Thursday December 19, 2024 at 12:00 pm at the Gilliam cemetery in Greenup County, Kentucky with Brother Tony Corns officiating. Burial will follow.
Pallbearers for Naomi Charlene Burriss will be her grandchildren.
