Mr. Orville Dyer, Age 85, of Vanceburg, Kentucky passed away Friday April 29, 2016 at the Golden Living Center of Vanceburg after an extended illness.
Mr. Dyer was born in Vanceburg, Kentucky October 12, 1930 to the late Roscoe and Minnie Armstrong Dyer. Orville was a retired Iron worker from Indianapolis, Indiana. He was also a farmer. Orville was a veteran of the United States Army with the rank of Sgt. In which he served his country so proudly.
Surviving are three daughters- Pat Dyer, Kathy Ginn, and Becky (Larry) Toller all of Vanceburg, Kentucky.
One son- Jeffery Dyer of Vanceburg, Kentucky.
7-grandchildren- Melissa (Ryan) Smith of Norris, Tennessee, Donald Ginn, Orville (Crystal) Toller, Crystal (Michael) Flannigan and Barbie (Kenny) Tully all of Vanceburg, Ky. Jeffery (Bub) Dyer of Cynthiana, Kentucky, and Misty Ginn of Florida.
14-great grandchildren and 1-great-great-granddaughter who will also mourn his passing.
Two sisters- Barb Butler and Bonnie (Robert) Gillispie of Indiana.
Also, a good friend Donald Ginn.
Preceded in death beside his parents was his wife of 59 years Christine Butler Dyer, One son- David Dyer and one granddaughter Tracy Dyer. 7-brothers- Clifford, Roscoe, Randall, Woody, Jimmy, Russell and Kirby Dyer.
At the request of Mr. Dyer there will be no services. A private family service will be at the family farm at a later date.
