Orville Sizemore Jr., Age 68, of Vanceburg, Kentucky passed away at his home Monday May 6^th, 2019 with his family by his side after an extended illness.

Jr. was born in Maysville, Kentucky February 12, 1951 to the late Orville and Josephine Stress Sizemore.  For 38 years Jr. was a riverboat Captain with the Marathon Company.  He was of the Christian faith.  He was an avid fisherman and hunter.  Jr. loved spending time with his grandchildren.  He was a Veteran of the United States Marine Corps where he served his country in Vietnam. 

Jr. was a Master Mason of St. Marys’ Lodge # 240 Tollesboro, Kentucky Free and Accepted Masons.  He also was a member of the El Hasa Shriners in Ashland, Kentucky.

Surviving to cherish his memories is his wife of 47 years whom he married in Vanceburg, Ky. October 16^th, 1971 Rachel Smith Sizemore of Vanceburg.

One Daughter- Melissa (David) Hardy of Vanceburg, Ky.

Two sons- Jeff Sizemore of Columbus, Ohio, and Chad (Mandie) Sizemore of Vanceburg, Ky.

One granddaughter- Lexie Sizemore, four- grandsons- Ethan and Jaxon Sizemore, Dylan and Austin Hardy.

One sister- Della Williams of St. Albans, West Virginia.

Brother-in-law- Jim Stiltner of Ashtabula, Ohio.

Funeral Services will be Thursday May 9, 2019 at 11:00 am at the Gaydos Funeral Home 159 2^nd street Vanceburg, Ky. 41179 with Brother Wes Cooper officiating.  Entombment will follow in the Lewis County Memory Gardens Black Oak, Ky.

Visitation will be Wednesday May 8, 2019 from 6-8 pm and from 8:00 am until time of services at the funeral home.

Military graveside rites will be accorded by American Legion Post 93 of Kenova, West Virginia.

Pallbearers for Orville Sizemore Jr. will be Kenny Walters, Ethan Sizemore, Dylan Hardy, Alan Moore Jr., Troy Smith, Johnnie Stiltner, and Steven Thomas. Honorary pallbearers are Lexie Sizemore, Jaxon Sizemore, and Austin Hardy.
