Patricia Lynn Prater

Patricia Lynn Prater, Age 66, of Vanceburg, Ky. Passed away Saturday January 9, 2016 at her home after an extended illness. Pat was born in Sardis, Kentucky May 24, 1949 to the late William Davis and Imogene Gifford Myers.

Pat was a past employee of the Lewis County Herald. In her earlier years she worked for Walds Manufacturing Company in Maysville as an inspector. She was a member of the Fly Branch Church of Christ. Pat was very handy in fixing things around the house from gardening to electrical. Her passion was painting mostly in oils, and she loved to sew.

Surviving is her husband of 18 years whom she married August 2, 1997 in Vanceburg Arthur B. 'Corky' Prater.

Two daughters- Holly (Kenny) Scott of Vanceburg, Ky.

Shonda (Jason) Waxman of Lake Oswego, Oregon

Five grandchildren Kenny, Sammy, Hannah, Zoe', and Ari.

One brother- Gary William (Elizabeth) Myers of Maysville, Ky.

One sister- Diane (Larry) Farris of Maysville, Ky.

1-niece- Lisa Rolph and 1-nephew- Larry Farris Jr. both of Maysville, Ky.

Several great nieces and nephews also survive who will mourn her passing.

Funeral services will be Wednesday January 13^th, 2016 at 11:00 am at the Gaydos Funeral Home with Brother Phillip Cropper officiating. Burial will follow in Lewis County Memory Gardens Black Oak, Ky.

Friends may call from 5-8 pm Tuesday and from 8:00 am until time of services Wednesday at the Gaydos Funeral Home 159 2^nd street Vanceburg, Ky. 41179.
