Randy Thornton Obituary

Randy R. Thornton Age 48 of Vanceburg, Ky. passed away Thursday June 28, 2012 at 12:50 am at the St. Elizabeth Hospice Center in Edgewood, Ky.

Mr. Thornton was born in Chicago, Illinois August 26, 1963 to Emeral Cooper of Orangeburg, Ky. and the late J.D. Thornton. He was a farmer and worked for the Emerson Power & Transmission Company in Maysville, Ky. for 6 years. He was an avid hunter and fisherman and loved his children and grandchildren who he adored. He was of the Christian faith.

Surviving is his wife of nineteen years whom he married in Garrison, Ky. June 25, 1993 Cheryl Wilson Thornton of Vanceburg, Ky.

3-sSns- Jerome (Hannah) Thornton of Maysville, Ky. Jonathan Morris of Chicago, Illinois and Samuel Morris of Somerset, Kentucky.

2-Daughters- Jessica Thornton and her companion (Beth McAdams) of Vanceburg, Ky. Jennifer (Jeremy) Witten of Garrison, Ky.

9-Grandchildren he leaves behind- Haven & Hadley Thornton, Mason Morris, McKayla & Serenity Morris, Ramzi Thornton, Shae McAdams, Dalton Witten, and Xoe Witten.

2-Brothers- Lynall Thornton-Chicago, Illinois and Marvin Thornton of Orangeburg, Ky.

3- Sisters- Mabelyn Venuso-Maysville, Ky., Raheda Barbour & Anna Thornton both of Orangeburg, Ky.

Preceded in death beside his father was a brother Timmy Thornton.

Friends may call from 9:00am until time of services at 11:00am Saturday at the Gaydos Funeral Home Vanceburg, Ky.

Funeral services will be Saturday June 30, 2012 at 11:00am with Brother John Moore officiating . Burial will follow in the Olivet Cemetery Orangeburg, Ky.
