Rebecca M. (Patton) Carpenter

Rebecca M. Carpenter, Age 69, of Vanceburg, Kentucky passed away Tuesday, June 14, 2022 at her home with family by her side after an extended battle with cancer.

Rebecca, was born in Vanceburg, Kentucky August 26, 1952 to the late Lonnie and Nellie Skidmore Patton.  Rebecca worked for the U.S. Bow factory here in Vanceburg, Kentucky for several years.  Also, worked as a Nurse’s aide for Vanceburg Rehabilitation & Health care Center.  Was a cook in several restaurants in the area.  She loved going to tractor pulls and shows.  Rebecca was of the Christian faith.

Left to cherish Rebecca’s memories is a daughter- Tawnya Carver of Vanceburg, Kentucky.

One son- Jamie (Hope) Carpenter of Vanceburg, Kentucky.

Sisters- Sue Calvert of Tollesboro, Kentucky; Cindy (Danny) Rowe of Flemingsburg, Kentucky.

One brother- Mike Patton of Vanceburg, Kentucky.

Granddaughters- Terra and Kayla, grandsons- Jamie Lee and Ryan, and 8-great grandchildren who also will mourn her passing.

Preceded in death beside her parents was her husband of 50 years James R. Carpenter in 2018, Son- Christopher Ray Carpenter in 2016, brother Terry Patton and sister-in-law Bonnie Patton in 2022.

Visitation will be Thursday June 16^th, 2022 from 5-8 pm at the Gaydos Funeral Home 159 2^nd street Vanceburg, Kentucky 41179

Funeral service will be Friday June 17^th, 2022 at 11:00 am at the funeral home with Brother Tony Corns officiating.  Burial will follow in the Carpenters Family cemetery Vanceburg, Kentucky.

Pallbearers for Rebecca M. Carpenter will be Rick Holt, Jamie Lee Carpenter, David Blankenship, Lathen Blankenship, Danny Ray Rowe, and Danny Rowe.
