Richard Alan Bloomfield

Richard ‘Rick’ Alan Bloomfield, Age 63, of Vanceburg, Kentucky passed away Sunday January 24^th, 2021 at his home with his family by his side after an extended illness.

Rick as he was known to his family and friends was born in Portsmouth, Ohio April 17, 1957 to the late Forest Bloomfield and Doris Stevens Bloomfield Richmond of Vanceburg, Ky.

Rick was a member of Local # 798 pipe liners union of Tulsa, Oklahoma.  He worked across the U.S. and on the Alaskan pipeline for 38 years.

Left to cherish Rick’s memories is his wife of 44 years Venetta Sue Blankenship Bloomfield.

Mother- Doris Stevens Bloomfield Richmond of Vanceburg, Ky.

One son- Brent (Debra) Bloomfield, two grandsons Caden and Eli Bloomfield, one honorary grandson Todd Hampton.

Two granddaughters- Alexis and Tyana Sudderth of Vanceburg.

One brother- Stanley (Tawnya) Bloomfield of Richmond, Ky.

Two step-brothers- Steve and Brian Richmond and a step-sister- Sabra Stevens.

Preceded in death beside his father Forest Bloomfield was his step-father Samuel A. Richmond.

At the family’s request there will be no services.
