Mr. Rickey Lee (Kool Aid) Underwood, Age 68, of Garrison, Kentucky passed away Saturday June 22, 2024 after losing his battle to cancer for the last 10 years at the Kenton Pointe Hospice Center in Maysville, Kentucky.
Kool Aid, as he was known to his family and close friends was born in Lewis County, Kentucky February 17, 1956 to the late Leonard Howard and Martha Fay Campbell Underwood. He was a former trucker and a veteran of the United States Army in which he was so proud to serve.
Preceded in death beside his parents were three siblings Ivan Leonard, Joyce Ann, and Joann. One nephew Elden Lee Riffe Jr.
Left to cherish Rickey’s memories is one son- Rickey Lee Underwood Jr. and his wife (Jennifer); one granddaughter-Christina.
His companion of 20 years Noraetta Bloomfield and her sons.
Sisters- Linda (Chauncey) Lewis and Lora Dunigan. One brother- John Underwood. Three nieces Melinda (Rodney) McGlone, Brooke (Mason) Mummert, and Jennifer (Hays) Tackett. One nephew Thomas Lee Riffe, several great-nieces and nephews along with his camp family and friends who also will mourn his passing.
At Kool Aid’s request there will be no services at this time. A celebration of life will be held at a later date at the convenience of the family.
Gaydos Funeral Home has been entrusted in taking care of the arrangements for Rickey Lee (Kool Aid) Underwood.
