Rita K (Fite) Ginn

Rita K. Ginn, Age 66, of Portsmouth, Ohio formerly of Vanceburg, Kentucky passed away with her family by her side December 8^th, 2021 at her son’s home in Portsmouth, Ohio after an extended illness.

Rita was born in Salt Lick, Kentucky September 3^rd, 1955 to the late James and Edna Moore Fite.  Rita worked for the U.S. Shoe Corporation until its closing.  She then pursued her career in nursing where she earned her degree, becoming a Registered Nurse.  Rita worked for Southern Ohio Medical Center in Portsmouth, Ohio for 18 years.

She attended the Cornerstone United Methodist Church in Portsmouth, Ohio where she was baptized.  More importantly to Rita was being with her family whom she loved dearly.

Rita is survived by two sons; Kevin (Jesse) Dunaway of Portsmouth, Ohio, and Rick (Dawn) Ginn of Vanceburg, Kentucky.

Sisters- Marcella Hughes- Mayslick, Kentucky, Brenda (Chester) Caldwell of Tollesboro, Kentucky.

Brother- Brent (Sharon) Fite of Salt Lick, Kentucky.

Grandchildren- Brandon Ginn, Amanda Ginn, Bethany and Taylor Pollitt, and Jacob Spencer. One great-granddaughter- Raelyn Tay Pollitt.

Her dog who was a big part of her life Molly Ann.  Many nieces and nephews, great nieces and great nephews also survive who will mourn her passing.

Preceded her in death beside her parents was her husband Donald R. Ginn in 2020, brother- Roger Fite.

Visitation will be Saturday December 11^th, 2021 from 5-8 pm at the Gaydos Funeral Home 159 2^nd street Vanceburg, Kentucky 41179.

Funeral service will be Sunday December 12^th, 2021 at 2:00 pm at the Gaydos Funeral Home with Pastor Tim Roth officiating.  Burial will follow at Lewis County Memory Gardens in Black Oak, Kentucky.

Pallbearers for Rita K. Ginn will be Trevin Plank, Austin Hollins, Lane Hughes, Brandon Ginn, Derrick Medley, and Cody Fite.
